1500 pt lists for Nationals

So this is my first attempt at cutting my Udarny list to 1500 pts:

I took off the mortars, AT rifles from the HQ and the tankos on the ISUs. This puts me at 5 platoons which isn't ideal but I think I'd be able to deal by just putting on the two udarny platoons (with extras) when I have to deploy half.

Maybe I'm just biased towards infantry (ok, I'm an biased towards infantry), but I like list 2,1,then 3 in that order. The second list just seems like it could take a few hits, and dish out some hits too. The first list, as you mentioned, has the benefit of the swarm effect, giving you the staying power you mention. I see lit 3 as a 'hit em fast and hard list', but if someone gets lucky early and knocks off 2 panthers in a platoon you start scrambling real quick.

Good points all around. List 3 is the comedy option, if I get good rolls on the knights cross tables it would do well otherwise it would probably get swarmed.

I wanna give List 2 a try. I'm a bit worried about being a mech company but I think it should do ok. The razvedki platoons can get a flamethrower each and they are not affected by hen and chicks. They also get the spetsnaz move because of the decoy tanks.

I tried the razvedki against Jake yesterday it didn't fare that well and I only pulled out a 4-3 because Jake managed to bog half hist list in one go right as he had pushed me off the objective.

I want to try it on the attack but I have a feeling that it would work much better at 1750 with full razvedki platoons and fearless T-34/85s.

So it's definitely going to be udarny for nationals. Mike proved to me last week that the Razvedki just can't hack it at 1500 because of the short platoons and the confident tanks. They only beat Scout because his one panzer platoon was defeated by a patch of woods. Udarny on the other hand proved to be rock solid beating Joes Fearless Trained Fallschirmjager twice on Tuesday.

Still, the main problem is going to be time, 2 hours is not a lot. For that reason I also feel more comfortable with the Udarny since I can play them fast and loose where as the razvedki takes a lot of finesse and careful placements.
